HAIR DESIGNERS:

Alisha Abernathy is Color's passionate, friendly, and caring hair designer from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. As a graduate of the Beattie Tech Academy, Alisha worked behind the scenes on numerous fashion shows in Pittsburg, and is excited to bring her skills at styling updo's, coloring, cutting, and highlighting to the Color Salon team. Alisha shares that she "loves to bring out the best in her clients' hair and look" and truly loves what she does. Alisha is also the proud mother of a beautiful baby girl.

Daisy Hui, a graduate of the Aveda Institute of Chapel Hill, discovered her passion for hairstyling in her hometown of Durham, NC, where she grew up receiving mentorship in hair design from a friend of the family.  Specializing in hair cutting, Daisy loves being able to shape and style her clients hair to perfection: “I love seeing my clients’ enthusiasm and satisfaction after I finish cutting and styling their hair. It’s one of the highlights of my job.” Daisy’s high standard for professional training is what attracted her to working at Color Salon and Spa: “I really appreciate Color’s vision to provide training opportunities that will take its hair designers to the next level.”  

Kat Florio, from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, is our new fierce, fabulous, and multi-talented hair designer. Having graduated from Boca Beauty Academy, and received trainings with Nick Arojo, Wella, Bumble and Bumble, Paul Mitchell, Primary Syn, Goldwell, and Karastace, Kat offers her clients expertise advice. While specializing in color corrections and in creating a natural color as if it were kissed by the sun, Kat is also a skilled makeup artist, lending her talents to runway shows in South Beach Fl. Kat, skilled at communication, listens carefully to the needs and desires of her clients and combines their desires with her skills to transform them into vision that is beautiful.

Laura Brewer Sweet, born in Illinois and raised in Maine, graduated from Mitchell's Hair Academy. Laura prides herself in her acute listening skills, which she uses to make people look and feel great when they leave her care. In addition to cutting and styling adults' hair, Laura also enjoys cutting children's hair. Laura's favorite quote is, "Treat others the way you want to be treated."

Joanna Thomas, originally from Fort Myers, is a graduate of Sun State Academy of Hair Design in Florida. While specializing in color correction, color progression, and cuts, Joanna's passion for exceeding clients' expectations is what earned her the "Carolina Star Award for Dedication to Accommodating Clients." Joanna is described as sincere, compassionate, dedicated, and funny; above all Joanna says her most important attribute is her ability to listen to exactly what her clients' want.

Pamela Wilson originally from Chicago, is Color's new creative, inspiring, and fun hair stylist. As a Master Colorist with her Graham Webb Styling & Finishing Certificate and Vidal Sassoon cutting certification, Pamela is excited about sharing her talent with new clients and helping them achieve a higher level of confidence. Pamela also promises her clients that she's, "very understanding to their needs and honest about what looks good or bad on them," which plays an integral role in helping clients look their best. Pamela's caring spirit is not just evident at Color but it extends outside the salon: Pamela rescued a three-legged Pomeranian from an abusive home---so be sure to as her about her little sweetheart, Lola!

Jennifer Nicole Connolly joins us from Waterloo, Iowa. She graduated from LaJames International College in December 2007. She competed in hair shows and trained at the Wella Studio. She loves that she grew up in a family of girls doing their hair. Some of Jennifer's specialties include: nails, coloring, cutting and spa services. Jennifer is passionate about new hair cutting and coloring techniques and seeing complete transformation. Her mantra is, "If you can't choose what you're most passionate about be passionate about EVERYTHING."

ESTHETICIAN:

Paula Campos, originally from Azores, Portugal, earned her esthetics certification from Carolina Central. Specializing in massage and relaxation techniques, Paula enjoys "helping people feel good about themselves." Often described as funny, personable, and outgoing, Paula is most passionate about pampering her clients to create the best relaxation experience possible. Paula wants her clients to know that she is dedicated to educating women on how to take care of their skin and helping them look their best. Paula also shares, "I like to relive my childhood through my son Tyler's eyes."

MASSAGE THERAPIST: 

Trudy Gilmore invites clients to enjoy a Swedish, Deep Tissue, or Pregnancy Massage, and Reiki among her many specialties. Often described as compassionate, humorous, and intuitive, Trudy uses such thoughtful qualities to help her clients experience deep relaxation in the course of an hour massage. Originally from Muncie, Indiana, Trudy received her degree in massage therapy from the Space Coast Health Institute in Melbourne, Florida in 1999. Color Salon is pleased to add Trudy to its dedicated team.

NAIL CARE: 

Tarisa Edwards, originally from Vietnam and raised in the states, is committed to giving her clients the best in nail care. Among Tarisa’s numerous talents, nail art stands out through her attention to fine detail. Tarisa’s clients often complement her kind spirit, positive attitude, and ability to help her clients relax. Tarisa is excited to transform her clients’ nails so their hands and feet can both look and feel their best.
